Introducing The DEX Authority: Elevating Digital Employee Experience from Concept to Operational Excellence

Philadelphia, PA – February 2nd, 2026  – Tim Flower, well known DEX strategist, author of DEX for Dummies, and co-host of the popular EUC podcast The DEX Show, today announces the establishment of The DEX Authority, LLC, a platform-agnostic standards and advisory company dedicated to providing IT practitioners and leaders with standards that improve their Digital Employee Experience (DEX) programs through enablement and certification.

Through the development of a standards-based DEX operating model called DEX-COS® (Digital Experience Common Operating System), the company will educate, enable, and certify IT professionals on foundational and standard principles they can implement in their overall IT strategy, independent of the technology platform they intend to use. In addition, the company will also deliver operational advisory services to enterprises who have not yet made a technology decision.

“For decades, Enterprise IT has measured success through uptime, ticket volume, MTTR, and help desk surveys” said Tim Flower, Founder of The DEX Authority. “But employees don’t experience IT through these metrics. They experience downtime, disruption, and frustration. Organizations need to transform disruptions into flow, and empower IT to deliver meaningful, measurable outcomes that drive the business forward. Operationalizing DEX as an IT discipline has been the biggest barrier to success and has been my mission around the world for over ten years. It’s what I founded The DEX Authority to enable, and DEX-COS® will deliver.”

Flower has spent nearly four decades in the Enterprise IT space building expertise in the EUC ecosystem at Digital Equipment Corporation, The Hartford, and Nexthink. In 2015, the move to Nexthink allowed him to narrow the focus to helping businesses and IT teams change the way they think, operate, and view their employees’ technology consumption. Drawing on Flower’s broad experience, The DEX Authority will provide:

  • DEX-COS Enablement and Certification: Self-paced learning and certification of standardized, agnostic frameworks for IT professionals adopting or considering DEXOps practices.
  • DEX Foundational Workshops: DEX strategy and learning workshops for those in a pre-platform stage, providing strategic planning and operational design for proactive IT and DEX transformation decisions.
  • Executive Education: Keynotes, workshops, and quick start bootcamps aligning IT strategy with employee productivity and experience independent of technology.
  • Community and Research: The DEXPO, a collaborative subscription space for access to blogs, industry reports and analysis, and general guidance that advances the global DEX discipline.
  • Custom Consulting: Individualized consulting and advisory services, subject to proper fit, timing, and scope.

 About The DEX Authority

The DEX Authority will provide consulting, education, and certification services focused on helping organizations and individual practitioners operationalize vendor-agnostic DEX frameworks without regard to specific technology platforms. Through an industry-standard DEX-COS® methodology, The DEX Authority will provide IT leaders and practitioners with a common structure for proactive, predictive, and preventative operations. The result will be teams that can measure experience outcomes and deliver consistent value back to the business. The company now enters into a build phase for course curriculum and test modules, with service offerings expected to be available in the spring and evolving over the coming 12 months.
