About Tim Flower

Tim Flower is a recently retired enterprise IT professional with 35 years of experience in enterprise technology, service management, and digital employee experience. He is the founder and principal of The DEX Authority, author of Digital Employee Experience for Dummies (Wiley, 2022), and co-host of The DEX Show podcast from 2020 until his Nexthink departure in 2026.

Tim spent the final chapter of his corporate career as VP of DEX Strategy at Nexthink, where he built the company’s global ROI and value practice from the ground up. The model he created — the Value Lens — scaled to serve customers across multiple continents and remains in use nearly a decade later. That pattern — building from authentic expertise, systemizing it, naming it, and watching it scale — is the template for The DEX Authority. He also developed customer success processes to enable ongoing customer value realization, and developed training and certification programs for the global sales teams.

Tim is known in the DEX community as The Proactive IT Guy — a reputation built on a simple belief: that IT organizations should anticipate problems before users feel them, not react after the fact. That belief is baked into every element of DEX-COS.
